Just a little place to call my own. I don't update as often as I used to. Sometimes I get on a roll and I'll update frequently.

I own 3 kitties, all rescues of some sort.

Jimmy is our old man and he was adopted from a family that thought he was destroying the furniture. They had 2 kids so he puts up with anything including being cradled like a baby. He spends most of his time in my boyfriends lap, sleeping. When he's not there he's in a basket of clothes, sleeping. At least 22 hours a day he's asleep. When he's awake he's either eating, begging to go outside or trying to figure out how to mount Ernest without anyone noticing.

Ernest is our middle child; he has a complex and a loud mouth. He's also a genetic mis-step. He has 6 toes on each foot, two different colored eyes and is snow white. Last year he decided he was anorexic and spent 6 weeks with a feeding tube before he started eating on his own. It made me feel bad for calling him fatass; I still think I gave him a complex. He came from Hood River where he was live trapped by a well meaning woman that turned her house into a cat rescue. He was miserable there and we were so happy to get him out of there. Ernie doesn't like to be held or petted but will wait until we're asleep to get in bed with us and act like a normal cat; only when he thinks we're not aware will he become a big baby and cuddle up.

Willy is our baby and came into our lives under horrible circumstances. I found him in the middle of the road, bleeding from his face after taking a car bumper to the head. He was nearly euthanized but thanks to people from all over the world who donated money we were able to save his life. He is the cat equivalent to a 15 year old boy. He's curious, likes to destroy things and would probably burn the house down if he could figure out how a lighter works. He likes to sleep all day and spends his evenings lording over our house. When he's not trying to eat my face he's trying to off his two older cat brothers. He likes to lure them into sticky situations (like high places) then push them off. He's having a secret love affair with a handful of toy mice that he keeps in the bottom drawer of my dresser. He likes to nuzzle and cuddle but I think he does it to figure out where exactly my jugular is.

I enjoy riding motorcycles, hiking, fishing and being my own personal chef. My boyfriend and I live in SE Portland - I never want to leave Sellwood, it's my own little paradise. When the weather is cool I like to brew beer and bake. It makes the neighbors wonder what the hell is going on when the smell of hops and grain is billowing out my front door. That along with the smell of my culinary adventures keeps me on good terms with those who live around me; I'm always willing to share.
